2006 Grand Nationals
RESULTS: Just when you think you have experienced the "best" Grand Nationals you have ever been to, wha la, another year passes and you are, yet again, amazed. This year we took off for Nationals on Wednesday. It was a nice flight and we arrived mid-afternoon. It was great to have that extra day to settle in and rest up for the big weekend. We took 4 llamas with us and all went Top Ten in their classes. As the cherry on the sundae, our herdsire, Nachi, was named 2006 ALSA Grand National Grand Champion Light Wool Male. Bridget and Nahani were quite the team this weekend and were awarded a Top Ten 7th placement in Intermediate Obstacle out of a class of 28. Bridget also entered the Youth Judging Class and took the placement of Top Ten 8th placement.
The vendors were AWESOME this year, so many new faces and so many wonderful items to purchase. The new photographers were on target and did a fantastic job in getting the perfect picture, not to mention they were warm and friendly. All in all it was great to see all of our friends again and to make some new friends, too. We hope everyone had a safe journey home and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
