Oh boy, we had a great time, ALSA really made this a special Nationals for all who attended. The new facility allowed all of the vendors access to the showring so they could watch the events and there was plenty of room for everyone. The atmosphere was positive and it was great to see all of the new faces there. It told me the llama industry is alive and thriving.

This year was truly special for us. We had seven WINS llamas representing us this year at the Grand Nationals. One of our males was named the "2008 Grand National Grand Champion Medium Wool Male" (WINS C.K. One). Woo Hoo. He is a beautiful, high end silky yearling male owned by Sergio and Leanne Perezcano of Super Star Llamas in La Habra Heights, CA. Congratulations!

Another exciting win for us was with a little female, WINS Best Dressed, who took an impressive Top 4 win out of a class of 23 in the Medium Wool Female Juvenile class. Best Dressed is owned by Courtnee Benson of Sapeveco Ranch in Texas. Congratulations!

Our newest female, Skansen's Eufloria, was named the Top Two Medium Wool Two Year Old Female out of a class of 18. I was so proud of this win as Eufloria is an amazing female and such an asset to our breeding program. She was also used by Kathy Nichols in the Adult Showmanship class and they both took an impressive Top Two win out of a huge class. Congrats to Kathy and Eufloria.

Lastly, but certainly not least, was a Top 4 win with an athletic young juvenile male we bred, WINS Gogees. This was a large class, too, and the competition was stiff.

We would also like to congratulate Susan Lewis of Baistar Llamas, Courtnee Benson of Sapaveco Ranch and Sergio and Leanne Perezcano of Superstar Llamas with the following wins, as well. We couldn't have been more proud to see you all shine!
